An Enchanted Garden Wedding at Fernbank Museum Featuring Charming Fruit, Dinosaurs, and Custom Design
When it comes to unforgettable Atlanta weddings, Caitlin and Alex’s celebration at the iconic Fernbank Museum set a new standard for breathtaking design and thoughtful details.
Miss Milly’s Event Rental, Florals, and Design team brought the couple’s enchanted garden vision to life with lush floral installations, bespoke event styling, and custom décor elements that transformed the space into a one-of-a-kind wedding wonderland.
Guests were in awe of the most dreamy ceremony framed by vintage wooden doors, iron gates draped in climbing greenery, and romantic blooms in shades of peach, gold, and blush. Softly layered vintage rugs led down the aisle, guiding the couple toward their vows beneath a floral-adorned backdrop that perfectly balanced elegance and whimsy. From the first glance, it was clear—this was no ordinary Atlanta wedding.
A Historic Venue Meets a Wedding Design Masterpiece - the Guestbook Case.
Fernbank Museum is known for its grand architecture, towering windows, and of course, its iconic dinosaur skeletons. But for Caitlin and Alex’s wedding day, it also became home to what might be the most unique guest book in Atlanta wedding history.
The Miss Milly’s team custom-built a dramatic dark green bookshelf lined with personalized hardcovers, each bearing a guest’s name and table number.
The bride’s passion for literature came to life in this enchanting “overflowing library” seating chart, seamlessly blending her love story into the décor. With every table styled individually—brimming with florals, vintage accents, and natural textures—guests were surrounded by personalized touches that made the celebration as warm and inviting as it was beautiful.
A Love Story Full of Sweet, Ripe Surprises
One of Caitlin’s requests for the design was to incorporate fruit into the florals and décor. Without knowing their significance, the Miss Milly’s team tucked in fresh cherries for pops of rich color and organic texture.
Little did they know, cherries were a deeply meaningful symbol for the couple—an unplanned, but perfectly serendipitous detail.
It was a sweet surprise for Caitlin and Alex, a reminder that the best wedding moments often happen when thoughtful design meets a bit of magic. From the lush moss runners to candlelit centerpieces and the towering dinosaurs looking on, the day was layered with charm and delight from every angle.
